BREAST CANCER LYMPHEDEMA CAN BE TREATED!

The Breast Cancer Physical Therapy Center has been treating lymphedema successfully using cutting edge techniques since 1992. Since the facility's opening, thousands of breast cancer survivors have learned how to reduce and manage their lymphedema independently.

Our "user-friendly" and highly indivualized program combines several treatment techniques with proven results:

Exercise: Flexibility, strengthening, and aerobic activities are used to enhance lymphatic flow and help control lymphedema.

Manual Lymphatic Therapy: A specialized massage technique performed to move and redirect lymphatic fluid from the swollen limb and trunk.
Compression Bandages: Applied to the limb and worn nightly (as necessary). Combined with exercise to give the patient a way to manage the edema independently
Compression Pump: Utilized as an adjunct to other treatments to enhance and maximize fluid reduction.
